TRADITIONAL BASQUE MUSIC
Musikene offers a 45 ECTS training course in Traditional Basque Music, aimed at instrumentalists of traditional roots who wish to improve their professional skills, are interested in further training and/or wish to apply for the qualification to teach in the music and dance schools of the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country (as established by the Decree 64/2024, of 21 May).

PRACTICAL INFORMATION
- COURSE STRUCTURE: 45 ECTS credits of annual and semester subjects spread over 15 teaching weeks of the academic year.
- REGISTRATION: from 5 May to 5 June 2026
- AUDITIONS: 25-26 June 2026
- MATRICULATION: Online in July
- ACADEMIC CALENDAR: October 2026 – May 2027
- SCHEDULE: classes on Fridays and Saturdays
- PLACES OFFERED: 13 per academic year

Everything you need to know about Musikene: curriculum, entrance examinations and enrolment, presented by Itxaso Sainz de la Maza, Deputy Director for Academic Planning at Musikene.
Xabier Urtasun, course lecturer, will explain the contents of the theoretical part of the entrance examinations, as well as the teaching practice placements.

- 13:15 | Visit to the course “Collective Musical Practice”
- 13:30 | Talk with Rubén Isasi, course lecturer, about the contents of the performance part of the entrance examinations.

Enrolment
Complete matriculation (45 ECTS): 2925 euros. The price of each credit in this COURSE is €65.
Payment will be made in 3 instalments:
- a third at matriculation
- the remaining amount in two halves, one in November and the other in February
