I Musikene International Competition for Young Guitarists
Musikene – Higher School of Music of the Basque Country is pleased to announce the 1st Musikene International Competition for Young Guitarists, which will take place in Donostia/San Sebastián, Spain, on 26 February 2027.
The competition aims to promote young guitar talent internationally and support the artistic development of the next generation of guitarists aged 14 to 17, providing access to official higher music education.
Conceived as a platform for emerging talent, the competition goes beyond recognising artistic excellence by creating meaningful opportunities for learning, professional development, and stage experience.
Accordingly, the prizes include both advanced educational opportunities and public performance experience through a concert tour.
How to Apply
Before submitting an application, candidates are required to read the Competition Rules and Regulations, which provide detailed information on the eligibility requirements, competition schedule, required documentation, repertoire requirements, and selection process.
Once they have reviewed the rules, applicants may complete their registration by submitting the Application Form.
The application deadline is 15 January 2027 (inclusive).
