The Higher School of Music of the Basque Country – Musikene offers postgraduate studies consisting of a series of specialisation courses for people who hold a music degree and wish to further develop their musical skills.
There are many types of courses, all of which are explained in detail on the corresponding page. Interested parties will find information regarding all of the aspects of each course: instructors, course description, calendar, price, etc. For any additional information or queries, please contact us at the following e-mail address firstname.lastname@example.org
The only prerequisite is to hold a higher music degree or complete the degree programme in 2016/2017. The degree must be presented (or receipt of payment for the degree programme) upon registration. Students who are currently finishing their last year may present this documentation upon completion. In any event, the documentation must be submitted prior to 16 October 2017.
Registration (September 2017)
If the course is for musical performance, a video shall also be sent to vouch for the candidate’s musical skill (approximately 20-30 min long); We recommend submittin the video via an appropriate video hosting service (DropBox, Google Drive, YouTube, Vimeo, etc. …) and e-mail Musikene with the corresponding link for accessing the video; videos may also be sent by post to Musikene, making sure to clearly state “Cursos de especialización 2017-2018”.
Registration will be open from 14 July to 10 September 2017. All candidates will be notified the first fortnight in July as to whether they have been admitted to the course.
Students accepted to this programme must complete the registration form and pay one third of the total course price, plus €15 for student insurance and €6,19 for the student card. The outstanding amount shall be paid into equal parts on the dates indicated for each course.
The period for enrolment is from 27 to 29 September 2017. Enrolment will not be complete without payment as indicated above.
Enrolment in one of the courses entitles students to attend, free of charge, another one of the specialisation courses on offer as an unregistered student.
Students must indicate on the registration form the course in which they wish to enrol and, if applicable, the course they wish to attend as an unregistered student. Attendance as an unregistered student will depend on whether the course does in fact materialise and on the maximum number of students specified for each class. Participants will be accepted in the order of registration.
